Bracknell Long Course and Luton Short Course Meets

28/01/20100

Drawing all swimmers’ attention to two Open Meets coming up in the calendar.  Both take place the weekend of 10th and 11th April

There is a rare chance for swimmers to try their hand at competing in an Olympic size, 50m ‘long course’ pool at the Aldershot Garrison.  This meet is being held by Bracknell and Wokingham Swimming Club on 10th April.  Swimmers can choose from 50m or 100m races in all strokes, as well as a 200m freestyle.  Details available from http://www.bwsc.org.uk/index.php or check out the downloads section of this website.

On the 10th and 11th April Luton Swimming Club are holding their annual short course meet at Barnet Copthall.  Here all events are available to enter from 50m right up to 400m.  This is an ideal opportunity to update your times. Details available from http://www.lutonswimmingclub.org.uk/ or see the downloads section again.

There are upper and lower qualifying times for both meets, which need to be checked carefully.  Please make sure your times fall within those limits in the events you wish to enter.

Both meets are First Come First Serve. That means if we don’t get our entries in early enough, we run the risk of not getting in at all. We therefore need your completed entry forms, plus cheques made payable to HHSC, by 9th February 2010 at the latest – the Tuesday after the last round of Club Champs. No late entries will be accepted.

Please post your entries in the club post box marked for the attention of Claudia Cruttwell.
