Chilterns League promotion

17/04/20160

Congratulations to the Hemel Chilterns League team managed by Lauren Wilding who secured promotion to the first division after a storming performance in the last round with twelve first places, ten second places and twelve “too fast” swims – the latter largely as a result of some significant PBs.

Individual first places awere achieved by Ben Davies, Miya McFarlane, Manas Kubal, Ciarn Kilbane, Cameron Clark and Lewis Clark.  The girls 10 and under, 12 and under and 14 and under quartets all won both their free and medley relay events, whilst the boys 12 and under squad won their medley event and the boys 14 and under squad won their free event.

Half of the 34 individual swims were PB’s with notable impovements coming from Seve Carrillo de Albornoz (posting a 4 second improvement to a 50 breast time swum only a month ago), Lewis Clark with a 2 second PB on his 50 breast (again bettering a time set only a month ago), Samuel Hutchings setting a PB of nearly 7 seconds in the 100IM, Dylan Kennell with almost a 4 second PB in his 50 back, Henry Newbury-Kemp with an improvement of over 3 seconds in his 50 back and Zara Rafiq-Craske with a 3 second PB on her 50 free.  Other improvements were posted by Lizzie Acres, Natasha Acres, Pippa Croucher, Ben Davies, Lilly Davies, Ciaran Kilbane, Manas Kubal (in both his races) and Harrison Newbury-Kemp.
