Nearly fifty swimmers along with many parents turned up at Sainsbury’s in Apsley on 15th December to pack customer’s bags of shopping to raise money for the club and the new starting blocks we are hoping to purchase soon. Everyone did an amazing job and the Apsley shoppers were extremely generous – we raised a stupendous £1,462.58!!! Our festive attire and Christmas spirit certainly charmed the customers and a huge thank you to all those that gave their time so near to Christmas to help the Club.
A massive thank you to Liz Sherriff who booked and arranged the whole day and we hope to repeat the success next year with more bag packers and parent volunteers.
