Club Records set at Milton Keynes

04/12/20090

Nine year old Thushira Kumerage travelled to Milton Keynes recently to take part in an Open meet.

Braving the 400m IM, Thushi was rewarded win a win in the 9-10 year age group and has set a club record for the first time in this event.  He came second in the 200m breaststroke, claiming another club record, in a time of 3.41.85.  The third record to fall to Thushi was Louis Mayhew’s previous best time in the 200m freestyle.  Thushi took it in a 2.52.03, earning him bronze, his third medal of the day.

Thushira also came fourth and fifth in the 50m breaststroke and 200m IM respectively.  A great day’s work, especially considering that he was swimming at the younger end of a two year age band.  Congratulations Thushira!
