There were a total of four club records broken at the final round of the National Arena League.
Starting with the youngest, Kyle Holmes broke his own previous record of 43.38 in the 10 years’ 50m breaststroke in a new time of 43.21.
Kelsey Doyle broke Rebecca Bowden’s 2003 record of 1.26.63 in the 13 years’ 100m breaststroke with a new time of 1.25.38.
Lois Moore broke two records – both her own. She swam sub-30 seconds in a time of 29.93 to take the 14 years’ 50m freestyle record. In the 100m butterfly she broke her own time from Round Two of the League of 1.16.43, with an impressive 1.14.45.
Not to be left out of the record breaking celebrations, Megan Pirrie put in two new records at the Watford Middle Distance Open. In the 100m butterfly leg of the 400m IM, she broke her own previous 9 years’ time of 1.39.99 with a 1.37.16. In addition, she broke her previous 100m breaststroke time of 1.46.84, whilst swimming the first half of the 200m breaststroke, in a time of 1.45.85.
