Hemel Hempstead SC bid a fond farewell to Aquabears instructor, Gavin Wignall after his last session on Sunday evening.
Gavin has been coaching the youngest section of the club for over 10 years. Charles Dainton, Head Coach, presented Gavin with a present from parents’ contributions to say thank you for all the work he has done for the club. Charles pointed out that Gavin has no children of his own at the club which makes his dedication and commitment all the more appreciated. With a young baby of his own, however, who knows, we may see him back in years to come as a keen parent.
The children got to say goodbye to Gavin by giving him a traditional push in the pool. Despite being fully clothed, we are pleased to say he didn’t drown.
