A small group of 5 Hemel Hempstead swimmers travelled to Hatfield on 1st February 2014, leading the way was Charlie Rayner 12 who won two gold medals in the 100m Butterfly and 100m Breaststroke, to top that his Breaststroke swim also earned him his first Regional Qualifying time an excellent achievement especially as his birthday is very close to the Regional Championships.

Lois Moore 18 swam three races in the 100m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly and 50m Backstroke achieving a couple of top 6 finishes. Grace Rayner 15 swam in the 50m Butterfly and Breaststroke achieving 4th place in the fly event.

Shaminah Sherwani-Keeling 13 swam in the 100m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly achieving a 4th place in the fly event and a new Personal Best in the Freestyle event.

Nell Baughan 13 swam in the 200 Individual Medley event achieving a top 10 place, she then went on to compete later in the day at the Hemel Hempstead Last Chance County Qualifier Gala achieving a number of personal best swims.

Paige Wilding 15 competed in 3 events in the 200m Individual Medley, 50m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke, in all events she narrowly missed her Regional Qualification Times so will be working hard for the next few weeks to achieve the times at the Hertfordshire County Championships in March.
