Hertfordshire ASA will once again be hosting the annual County Development Weekend over 24th and 25th February 2018 to enable coaches, teachers, officials, and volunteers to upskill, develop, and share ideas. Last year the event saw over 230 places filled by learners, and this year the aim is to attract even more! All events take place at the University of Hertfordshire Sports Village Havilland Campus, Mosquito Way, Hatfield AL10 9EU
Details of the various events are now available on the website http://www.hertsasa.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=611:herts-asa-development-weekend-2018&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=50; all courses/events are bookable by following the links.
For those of you for whom this might not be immediately obvious here are a few pointers:
- If you’ve been on a timekeepers course but not started your Judge Level 1 Part 1 – please attend the course on Saturday 24th February because after that we can use you at our Open Meets like the Spring Development in May and Birthday Open in October. For those of you who have been helping out at time trials recently without any training, we’re hoping to arrange a timekeepers course earlier in February and if that comes off and you can also make the 24th that would be fantastic.
- For those of you who have been helping Ollie poolside at competitions there is a Team Manager Module 1 course a little earlier on the 24th. Having people qualified as a Team Manager is particularly important for us when we look to have overnight trips.
- Those people who have already attended a Team Manager 1 course might like to consider the Team Manager 2 course on Sunday 25th. We need people with this higher level of qualification for overseas swim camps.
