13 swimmers participated in a very high quality long course meet at Luton over the weekend in preparation for Regional Championships. Alice Fender won gold in the 200 free and improved her regional qualifying time in the 50 free. Luke Pestaille achieved his fourth regional qualifying time, Seyi Bankole improved his regional QT in the 50 breast, and 14 new long course age group club records were set.
The long course age group records set were as follows:
- Eleanor Bevan (50 breast and 200 IM).
- Jonny Farrow (50 free and 50 back).
- Alice Fender (50, 200 & 400 free).
- Max Jelfs (200 & 400 free and 100 fly – the 200 free breaking a record last set in 2008)
- Luke Pestaille (50, 100 & 200 back – the last two breaking records last set in 2009).
- Georgia Purkis (800 free).
