Saturday 29th March, whilst most of you were probably enjoying the lovely weather, Mark Ayres, Dave Pirrie and Rachel Barber spent the day in Leamington Spa at the 2014 Midland Open Masters Championships.
The first achievement of the day went to Rachel with a PB and a bronze medal in the 50m Breaststroke. The boys followed with Mark putting in a great swim and Dave picking up a gold medal and an impressive PB of 36.17!
Dave continued on his good form with another PB in the 100m IM with a time of 1:17.84.
After a well-deserved snooze in the sun, the boys went on to have more great swims in the 100m Breast Stroke with Dave picking up another gold medal!
The day came to an end with the 50m Butterfly where Rachel managed to pick up another PB, still working towards taking the club record which is currently held by Pam Ware. A very enjoyable day for everyone, and now they are looking forward to the British Gas Masters Championships in Swansea in June.
