Emily Jelfs and Megan Pirrie travelled to Swansea over the weekend of 21st July 2012 to compete in the Swim Wales Summer Nationals. Megan (12) and Emily (13) entered several events and put in some impressive swims against tough opposition and achieved a numbers of PBs along the way.
Megan competing in the Girls 12 & 13 years age group swam 4 PBs in her 5 events, her most impressive swims coming in the 200M Fly (2.43.50) and the 100M Breast (1.25.47) where she claimed a top ten finish and was named as a reserve for both finals. Her other PBs were in the 400M Free (5.10.53) and 100M Free (1.09.28).
Emily competing in the same age group as Megan put in a very solid performance in the 100M Free swimming an impressive 1.06.36 finishing 21st swimming 2 seconds quicker than her long course PB from regional’s in June, Emily also competed in the 400M Free and 200M Back to round off a good few days at the end of the season, well done girls.
