Young Hemel Swimmers Raise Money for Charity

On Saturday 28th April 2012 eight young Hemel Swimmers joined thousands from around the country to take part in the Swimathon 2012 and help raise money for charity.

Eight swimmers swam at Sportspace Hemel Hempstead in the Swimathon 2012 raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

All the swimmers also attend Saint Cuthbert Mayne Catholic School and range from 9 to 11 years old.

Congratulations go to Alice Fender, Mia Hobson, Ben Hubbard, Jessica Hubbard, Sharone Kallinga, Emily Keenan, Lucy Munro and Tyler O’Brien who between them swam over 11Km in the pool.

Alan Doyle Head Coach said ‘I am very proud of our young swimmers for making the effort to join the Swimathon and raise funds for a very worthy cause, thanks should also go to their parents for the organisation of the event’
