With a team of Volunteers from HHSC, on Saturday 18th October we hosted the HHSC Sprint Festival and Skins event.
Consisting of two sessions, we were delighted to see 34 of our swimmers competing throughout the afternoon and evening against tough competition from Bushey, Chesham, Hatfield, Hillingdon, Hitchin, Ware and Watford. There were so many excellent individual swims culminating with the wonderful team spirit seen for the skins events.
Congratulations to all our swimmers, including those achieving PB’s: Georgina Banks, Isla Austin, Abbie Hawkes, Sophie Macey, Mia Scott, Amie Roberts, Mai Haefeli-Morris, Alfred James Swain, Jemima Mansfield, Hayley Lovat, Luca Capozzi, Lillyenna Cooper, Seb Leong, Edward Roberts, Dragomir Cotorobai, Sebastian Turculet, Mia Barlow, Orla Quinn, Vivaan Soni, Lily Banks, Katie Thomsit, Ishan Nakandala, Evie Norton, Heidi King, Amy Thomsit, Sienna Hampson, Evangeline Cooper, Alex Brooks and Ben Cooper.
In addition to the PB’s, the swimmers won a total 44 Golds, 20 Silvers and 22 Bronze medals, some of those are listed below:
13yr Girls 50 Breaststroke, Amie Roberts, Isla Austin and Abbie Hawkes with the Gold, Silver and Bronze.
15yr Girls Amy Thomsit and Evie Norton took Gold & Silver in both the 50 FC and 100 FC, with a Silver and Bronze in the 50 Fly.
13yr Girls Isla Austin and Amie Roberts took Gold & Silver in the 100 Breaststroke and Silver and Bronze in the 50 Fly.
11yr Boys Edward Roberts and Ben Cooper won Gold & Silver in both the 50 Fly and 50 Back.
14yr Boys Seb Turculet and Dragomir Cotorobai took Gold & Silver in 5 events, 100 Back, 50 FC, 100 Fly, 100 FC and 50 Fly.
15yr Boys Lenny Luchmun Hicks and Charlie Highsted took Gold & Silver in the 50 FC, with Lenny and Alex Brooks taking Gold & Silver in the 50 Back.
Amy Thomsit and Heidi King set new Club Records in the 50 Fly (both) and 100 FC (Heidi). The Boys Club Records are yet to be verified.
