Daniel is a member of our Master’s squad and has a son that swims for the club. He also has a 4 year old daughter learning to swim. Daniel can often be found pool side as an assistant coach and regularly attends gala’s. He was elected chair in 2024 and passionately believes everyone should aim to fulfil their potential.
Rachel’s son joined HHSC in 2022 and she began to volunteer with the club, learning timekeeping and qualifying as a Judge level 1. In 2024, she decided to take the role of HHSC secretary, with a view to helping the club achieve its full potential, working alongside the committee and coaching team.
Natalie has two boys and has been a member of the club since 2022. She joined the committee in 2024 as part of the finance team and has since been elected as treasurer.
We are delighted to be able to introduce you to our new welfare officer, Fiona. Fiona comes from a background in adult safeguarding and mental health and works across several complex health systems. She is deeply committed to helping people access mental health services across Hertfordshire and is enthusiastic about empowering young people to speak up and seek support when they need it.
Fiona can often be found in the foyer, on the balcony or in the gym. Please speak to her if you have any concerns. She can also be contacted via welfare@hhsc.org,uk.
Matt is also a Masters swimmer with two girls. He has taken the Level 1 coaching course and regularly helps poolside with our Train to Train section on a Sunday morning.
Sarah is a L2 coach and has been involved in teaching and coaching for over 20 years. Sarah’s daughter Emily, joined HHSC aged 7 and has competed at a county and regional level for over 10 years. Sarah was a member of Hemel Hempstead Swimming & Diving Club and has also swum with our Masters squad, competing at many competitions across Hertfordshire.
Harshana and his son joined the club in April 2023, a few months after returning to the UK. He joined the committee in late 2023 with the view to help run the club, assist at meets and give something back to the Hemel swimming community. His son was and still is very much welcomed at HHSC and swims for our performance squad.
Richard has been involved with the club for a long time. Following a year or two’s absence, he returned as Masters coach, and joined the committee in 2019.
