Hemel Masters Compete at Swim England Masters Nationals

Over the weekend, Hemel Masters travelled to Ponds Forge Sheffield to compete in the Go cardless Swim England Masters and Senior Age group National Short Course Championships. Swimming against top Master swimmers from around the Country, Team Hemel secured a credible 39th position out of 274 entered clubs.

The team collectively secured a number of top 10 and podium finishes in both individual and relay events, Jo Lee Pearce placed 3rd in the 200 Back with a terrific swim, Mark Strakosch secured 2nd place in the gruelling 1500 Free, finally Dave Pirrie, gained 2nd places in the 100 & 200 Breast and 3rd in the 50m.

The relay teams also faired well, the mixed 4×50 MR team of Sian MacDonald, Jo Lee Pearce, Mark Strakosch and Mark Ayres placed 3rd as did the Mens 4×100 Medley team of Dan Capozzi, Mark Ayres, Mark Strakosch and Dave Pirrie.
