Just 3 intrepid Masters made the journey to Sheffield for the British National Masters Long Course Championships this weekend and have already put in stellar performances on the first day!
First up was Hilary Coulson, placing 4th in her age group for the 800 m freestyle.
A combined team of Hemel (Hilary and Mark Ayres) and Berkhamsted swimmers (Sian Macdonald and Mark Strakosh) then took GOLD in the Mixed relay for their age group.
Hilary then took 4th place in 100 m backstroke, swiftly followed by Dave Pirrie picking up SILVER in the 50 m breaststroke.
Hot on Dave’s heels was Mark Ayres, claiming SILVER in the 100 m butterfly!
